Casino license for Lady Luck Nemacolin renewed for five years

The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board unanimously voted to renew the Category 3 resort casino license of Woodlands Fayette, LLC, operator of Lady Luck Casino Nemacolin, for an additional five years.
Management of the Fayette County casino was recently transferred from Churchill Downs Inc. to self-management with the assistance of gaming consultant RRC Gaming Management.
The license renewal comes after an October public input hearing in Wharton Township, where Lady Luck is located. During the hearing, casino personnel submitted exhibits and presented testimony on various aspects of the facility’s operation since its last license renewal was granted. The public was also permitted to provide testimony about the casino and its impact in the community, according to the PGCB.
The board also received information from local elected officials, community groups, law enforcement and other state agencies. A followup hearing was held Wednesday in Harrisburg, before the board voted to renew the license.
The casino employs 167 people, and opened in July 2013. From its opening through May 2023, Lady Luck has generated $289,042,481 in gross revenue from the play of slot machines and table games resulting in a return of about $139,901,235 in tax revenue to the state. The casino currently operates 600 slot machines and 26 table games.
