The public can view plans and offer comment on an Interstate 70 improvement project from Bentleyville to the Belle Vernon Bridge on Thursday, May 18, at the Mon Valley Career and Technology Center.

Nearing final design, the project considers mainline improvements including widening and minor realignment of I-70, reconstruction/reconfiguration of the Lover Interchange (Exit 36), and improvements to acceleration and deceleration lanes at the Speers Interchange (Exit 39) and Charleroi/Allenport Interchange (Exit 40).

The public will learn about the preliminary design process, review project information, and can provide feedback on roadway improvements and concerns, including the proposed Lover Interchange reconfiguration, and sensitive environmental features in the project area.

Representatives from the state Department of Transportation and the project team will be available to answer questions and take comment from 6 to 8 p.m. The CTC is located at 5 Guttman Ave., Charleroi.
