The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation will close two Washington County roads, Route 2020 (Plum Sock Road) between Route 221 (Conger Road) and Route 2007 (Hackney Station Road) in Morris Township, and a portion of Route 1019 (Bebout Road) in Peters Township, next week.

The Route 2020 restriction is scheduled to begin Monday and last through early November to allow crews from Washington County Slide Crew to repair a landslide on Plum Sock Road, depending on weather and operations.

The following detour will be in place:

Route 2007 Northbound: Make a left onto Route 2007 Hackney Station Road; left onto Route 3020 Dille Road; left onto Route 3031 Grove Road; left onto Route 18 Prosperity Pike; left onto Route 221 Plum Sock Road; stay straight onto Route 2020 Plum Sock Road.

Route 2007 Southbound: Make a right onto Route 2020 Plum Sock Road; stay straight onto Route 221 Plum Sock Road; right onto Route 18 Prosperity Pike; right onto Route 3031 Grove Road; right onto Route 3020 Dille Road; right onto Route 2007 Hackney Station Road.

In Peters Township, Route 1019 (Bebout Road) will close starting Monday until the end of October, depending on weather and operations.

The posted detour will use Route 1019 (Bebout Road), Route 1010 (Valley Brook Road), and Route 1002 (East McMurray Road).

A. Folino Construction is performing the work as part of a $2.3 million project that replaces the existing three-way stop-controlled T-intersection with a roundabout, drainage, bituminous paving, signage, lighting, guide rail and utility relocations. The project is anticipated to be completed in November.
