The rain and chill were not ideal, but two Washington County community events went forward this weekend.
The Houston Pumpkin Festival is a fall tradition in the borough. A benefit for the Houston Volunteer Fire Department, the festival had music, pumpkin-related contests, vendors selling arts and crafts and more.
In Washington, the Creativity Crawl, billed as a “block party of artistic proportions,” had been set to be on North Main Street but was moved into the event venue Nineteen North due to the weather. Local artists displayed their wares with live music.
