WHS to host Angel Dash

1 min read

Washington Health System Women’s Health Services will host a satellite location of the Angel Dash, a memorial walk/run in recognition of Pregnancy and Infant Loss Awareness Month, at 11 a.m. Oct. 21 at Washington Park-Kiwanis Pavilion, 283 Dunn Ave., Washington.

Participants can attend in person or virtually. To register, visit angeldash.org. Everyone who registers will receive a T-shirt. A memorial moment will be held at the conclusion of the race for families who have experienced a pregnancy loss, stillbirth, or infant loss.

Proceeds benefit Rachel’s Gift, an organization with which WHS Women’s Health Services partners to provide free education to hospital staff and bereavement resources for families experiencing pregnancy and infant loss in the community. The collaboration enables staff to have access to resources and items to gently guide patients and families through their time of need. Families also receive follow-up care, support group access, and connections with local, regional, and national resources.
