2000 Turkeys rolls on
With Thanksgiving less than five weeks away, Washington County is stepping up for neighbors in need.
The 2000 Turkeys campaign is in full swing, and donations from county residents, businesses and organizations to provide Thanksgiving dinners for food-insecure families are pouring in.
2000 Turkeys works in partnership with Food Helpers of Washington County, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and The City Mission Boxes of Love program to provide a warm meal and happy holiday for those struggling to make ends meet.
At its core, Thanksgiving gives us a chance to give thanks – for family, friendships, good health – and to reach out to others and brighten their lives.
So, we can’t thank you enough for your generous contributions and willingness to help out our neighbors.
