The second victim of a house fire that tore through a home on East Katherine Avenue in Washington Tuesday morning has been identified.

Kimberly Montes DeOca, 39, died in the fire at 165 E. Katherine Ave., according to a Washington County Coroner’s report.

The cause of DeOca’s death is pending investigation.

The fire was reported to Washington County 911 about 6:05 a.m. According to Washington fire Chief Chris Richer, the blaze began on the first floor and quickly moved to the upstairs apartment, where DeOca and another victim, identified as Kenneth Guy III, 39, by the Washington County coroner, were found.

According to the coroner’s report, after a thorough search, the coroner’s office has been unable to locate and notify DeOca’s family of her death. The coroner’s office asks that anyone with information about DeOca’s family call the office at 724-228-6785.
