AIDS quilt to be displayed

PA Thrive Partnership will mark World AIDS Day by displaying a panel of the AIDS Memorial Quilt on all three PennWest University campuses. The quilt will be displayed locally from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 7 at PennWest California’s Natali Student Center. The quilt is intended to honor those who have died from HIV/AIDS, to educate the community and to reduce the stigma of the disease. The quilt consists of more than 50,000 individual 3-by-6-foot memorial panels commemorating more than 110,000 lives lost to AIDS, and the quilt continues to grow.
