North Strabane Township man charged in alleged $20K theft from Rivers Casino

A North Strabane Township man is accused of stealing $20,000 from Rivers Casino.

Yancy Yeater, 41, worked as a players service manager at the Pittsburgh casino. According to state police, the morning of Dec. 4 Yeater took the money from the cashier’s cage during his shift.

State police viewed security footage from Rivers Casino that apparently shows Yeater committing the theft.

Yeater faces felony charges of theft by unlawful taking and receiving stolen property. He was arraigned Sunday and released without bond.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 10 a.m. Jan. 4 in Pittsburgh.
