A vacant duplex in Union Township was destroyed in a fire early Tuesday morning. Elrama Fire Company Chief Lenny Bailey said his department was called to 123 Houston Run Road at 12:50 a.m. According to Bailey, the right side of the house was engulfed in flames when they arrived. Bailey said the building was unoccupied and that no injuries were reported. A cause has not yet been determined. The state police fire marshal is investigating the fire. Also responding were Finleyville, New Eagle, Valley Inn and North Strabane fire departments.
