The Washington County Register of Wills office is changing locations once again.

Beginning Monday, the office will be open for business in Room 425 on the fourth floor of the county’s Crossroads Center building at 95 W. Beau St. in Washington. The office will be open during normal operating hours from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. during weekdays.

The Register of Wills office was moved out of the county courthouse in 2022 and into Courthouse Square, where it has been located on the ground floor for the past two years.

The move – along with the recent transfer of the prothonotary to the Crossroads Center and clerk of courts back to the courthouse – is an effort to clear the Courthouse Square building of all occupants and prepare it for demolition in order to build a new public safety center.
