Four people were displaced when this Elrama home caught fire Friday morning.

The Union Township community, family and friends are rallying to provide support for the family of 19-year-old Sabrina Boyle and her unborn son, whose lives were lost in a Friday morning house fire in Elrama, and for Boyle’s boyfriend and his parents, the homeowners, who were able to escape but lost everything in the blaze.

The Elrama Volunteer Fire Company of Union Township, which responded to the early morning fire, is accepting clothing donations for the homeowners at the fire station.

A GoFundMe page also was created by Amy Coll, who is close friends with Boyle’s mother.

The GoFundMe page says, “This morning my best friend Lisa tragically lost her beautiful daughter Sabrina and unborn grandson in a house fire in Elrama.” It continues, “We know this was a loss for many, including those that lost everything in the fire. This GoFundMe is being set up to Lisa and Sabrina’s stepfather Steve with expenses during this difficult time.”

Elrama firefighters responded to a call of a house fire with entrapment at 109 Fairview Street at around 5 a.m. Friday.

In a Facebook post, the Elrama VFC wrote, “We all saw the address come (across) our phones and we knew who it was. It was one of our own FF. His family home was on fire with his girlfriend still inside. We rushed to the scene to help.”

Boyle was rescued from a second-story window and taken to a hospital, but later succumbed to her injuries.

Chief Brian Chalfant of Jefferson Hills Fire-Rescue suffered serious burns while rescuing Boyle from the home. He was taken to the hospital for treatment and was later released.

The family is staying at their daughter’s home, and the fire company is accepting clothing for them at the fire station, 17 Elrama Ave.

Measurements are:

Father: 32/32 pants, large shirt, size 10 shoes.

Mother: Size 5 pants, large shirt, size 8 shoes.

Boy: 32/32 pants, medium shirt, size 9 shoes.

Donations for Boyle’s mother and stepfather can be made through the GoFundMe “Help Lisa and Steve Through This Tragedy.”

The cause of the fire is under investigation by the state police fire marshal.
