Police beat Aug. 29
DONORA
Robbery: James Darnell Foster, 32, of Donora, was charged by Donora police Tuesday with robbery, burglary, terroristic threats, reckless endangerment and prohibited possession of a firearm. According to the criminal complaint, shortly after 4 p.m. Aug. 5 police were called to the 400 block of Murray Avenue. Foster is accused in charging documents of pointing a sawed-off shotgun at a woman and threatening to kill her and her two children. Police said he rummaged through the house, broke objects and fled with $25 in quarters. There is an active warrant for Foster’s arrest.
MONONGAHELA
Vehicular assault: Brandon Floyd, 43, of Monongahela, was charged by Mononghela police Tuesday with aggravated assault by vehicle while driving under the influence, reckless endangerment, and making false reports. According to the criminal complaint, the charges stem from a Sept. 22, 2023, accident. Floyd is accused in court documents of striking an elderly woman in the 1200 block of West Main Street that evening. Police said the woman suffered multiple broken bones. When police initially spoke with Floyd at the scene, he allegedly claimed someone else was driving, according to court documents. Lab results showed Floyd’s blood tested positive for cocaine. There is an active warrant for Floyd’s arrest.
