According to a press release posted to Facebook Wednesday, state police continue to investigate the 1996 murder of Sandra Lee Katterson Lubbert.

According to the release, Lubbert was a bartender at The Crossings in Leetsdale, Allegheny County. Police said Lubbert closed the bar at 2 a.m. on July 16, 1996, and the next morning her personal belongings were found scattered near her car.

Her skull was found a year-and-a-half later in Donegal Township, and within a month additional remains were found nearby.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Washington barracks at 724-223-5200. Tips can also be submitted at p3tips.com, or by calling 1-800-4PA-TIPS. Callers may remain anonymous.
