A Hopwood man faces more than 30 charges related to accusations he sexually assaulted two juveniles.

William Russell Cooley, 49, allegedly assaulted a woman who is now an adult for about 10 years, beginning when she was 7 years old. The woman went to police in August 2023 to report the assaults, according to the complaint.

Police alleged Cooley assaulted her about three times per week.

In a second case, Cooley was charged with assaulting a boy in 2012.

For the case involving the alleged female victim, Cooley faces more than 30 charges, including felonies of aggravated indecent assault, involuntary deviate sexual intercourse and corruption of minors. In the other case, he is charged with four felonies of indecent assault and corruption of minors.

There is an active warrant for Cooley’s arrest.
