South Strabane supervisors to vote on Champion Center site

1 min read

The South Strabane Township Board of Supervisors is expected to vote tonight on granting approval for a co-working office space.

According to the meeting agenda, the board will consider a resolution granting Champion Center Enterprises preliminary and final approval for land development at 65 Fischer Road.

The organization is seeking to build a co-working office space at the location.

Washington County property records indicate that Champion Center purchased the property from Bass Pro Shops in June 2023 for $1.5 million, about the same price Bass Pro had paid for the site in 2007.

Champion Center had difficulty getting initial approval for the project last year when supervisors felt their representatives were not forthcoming about the organization’s affiliation with Champion Christian Center, both of which are owned by Nathan Miller.

Prior to the application for the office space, Champion Christian Center had applied to build a church at the location, which is zoned for commercial development.

The meeting will be held at 6 p.m. in the township building at 550 Washington Road.
