Brownsville man sentenced on gun charges

A Brownsville man was sentenced to 27 months of prison in a federal court Friday following his conviction on gun charges.

According to the Department of Justice, Deago Lee Eddings’ sentence will be consecutive with his state parole violation, and he will be incarcerated for at least 45 months. Eddings will also have three years of supervised release following his sentence.

According to the DOJ, Eddings was a convicted felon when he was found to be in possession of a firearm and ammunition in May 2023.
