Motorcyclists lined up to take part in the inaugural Zane Breakiron Memorial Ride on Saturday.

Breakiron, a Uniontown native who died in a single-vehicle accident in June 2023, with a K-9 handler for the Morgantown Police Department, where he’d served nearly seven years.

The ride was held jointly by the Carmichaels Riders and Breakiron’s parents, Garrett and Mindy.

The ride started at the Carmichaels American Legion, and headed south to Morgantown. Police there rode with participants back to the Pennsylvania state line.

Riders then traveled through both Fayette and Washington counties before returning to the American Legion in Carmichaels in the evening.
