By Jon Andreassi 1 min read

State police charged two men Wednesday in connection with a shooting that injured a woman and a 2-year-old toddler in Franklin Township.

Warrants have been issued for the arrest of Jeremy Currey, 20, of Washington, and Darius Wolfe, 19, of Claysville.

Each faces four counts of attempted homicide as well as several conspiracy charges.

According to state police, at about 7 p.m. Saturday, approximately five shots were fired into an apartment at Mountview Garden apartments in Waynesburg. Police said the woman was struck in the left eye while the child was shot in the right thigh. Police did not identify the victims.

Both were treated at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va., and have since been released.

Charging documents including an affidavit of probable cause that provides more details about the shooting were not immediately available before Wednesday’s deadline. It was not clear whether Currey, Wolfe or both are accused of firing shots.

State police filed charges at the office of District Judge Thomas Ankrom. Neither man had been taken into custody prior to Wednesday’s newspaper deadline.
