Trolley Museum to host Anything on Wheels, Trolley Meet
The Pennsylvania Trolley Museum will host the Western Pennsylvania Trolley Meet Friday and Saturday, and Anything on Wheels on Saturday and Sunday.
This is the first time the events will take place at the museum’s new 21,000-square-foot welcome and education center.
Anything on Wheels, an annual car and truck show, will showcase antique automobiles, hot rods, classic cars, and other vintage vehicles. Exhibitors can register at no cost in advance but are welcome to cruise in without a prior RSVP. Along with cars and trucks, other large vehicles will make special appearances, including buses, construction equipment, delivery trucks, tractors and more. The first 75 exhibitors each day will receive a complimentary dash plaque.
Select antique automobiles will park along Volunteer Boulevard, a brick-paved street where the trolleys operate. The Ohio Valley Community Band will perform at 2 p.m.
The Western Pennsylvania Trolley Meet is a biennial event that features award-winning, custom-built trolley layouts, special trolley operations and trolley parades on Saturday. It will also have unlimited rides and daily food trucks. Vendors catering to model train enthusiasts and traction memorabilia fans will be inside the museum, with staged photo sessions on Friday and Saturday evenings.
These events are open to both hobbyists and the public with a regular museum admission.
