Clarksville man killed in Jefferson Township motorcycle accident

A Clarksville man was killed in a motorcycle accident in Jefferson Township Saturday afternoon.

According to Pennsylvania State Police, Alan W. Tretinik, 60, was traveling southbound on North Eighty Eight Road as part of a motorcycle convoy when a deer came onto the road, and Tretinik hit it. Tretinik fell into the center of the southbound lane and was struck by a motorcycle driven by Andrew G. McVay, 44, of Waynesburg.

A passenger on Tretinik’s motorcycle, Vicki L. Fudala, 60, of Waynesburg, sustained a minor injury and was taken to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va. McVay and a passenger on his motorcycle, Meredyth Russell-Wilson, 41, of Waynesburg, each sustained minor injuries, but neither was taken to a hospital.

The accident occurred about 4:10 p.m. Tretinik was wearing a helmet, state police said.
