State police have identified the driver of the pickup truck involved in Saturday morning’s crash on Interstate 70 in Westmoreland County that killed an Allenport woman.

Jacob Michael Posey, 22, of Fayette City, was driving east on I-70 in Rostraver Township shortly after 8 a.m. when his pickup truck collided with a car driven by 25-year-old Tori Demo, according to troopers at the Belle Vernon barracks.

Demo’s car caught fire following the crash, and she died at the scene. The Westmoreland County coroner’s office previously said the driver of the pickup truck struck the rear of Demo’s vehicle, causing the crash.

State police said the crash remains under investigation, and no charges have been filed as of Thursday.

The crash closed the interstate in both directions for about three hours while police investigated and crews removed the wreckage.
