State police charge three in Greene County with animal cruelty
State police charged three Greene County residents Wednesday with animal cruelty after dogs were found in extremely poor condition.
David Henry White, 31, Holly Lynn White, 32, and Angel Nicole Jeffries, 22, all face a felony charge of aggravated cruelty to animals.
According to the criminal complaint, state police were called to the home of David and Holly White at East View Court, Franklin Township, the morning of Oct. 9. Police said two dogs, Stormy and Zoey, were found inside in extremely poor health, and had no food or water.
According to the complaint both dogs were emaciated and thin to the point that most of their bones were visible.
David White told investigators that he and Holly White had been caring for Zoey since finding her in Washington County a week prior. Police said Jeffries had owned Stormy for about three years, and would leave her with the Whites when she went to work.
The trio also faces misdemeanor charges of cruelty and neglect of animals.
District Judge David Balint released them on $7,500 unsecured bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Nov. 8.
