No injuries were reported in a fire in Washington Friday morning that destroyed a house and displaced the resident. Washington fire Chief Chris Richer said crews were called at 7 a.m. to 45 E. Prospect Ave. According to Richer, the fire marshal ruled the fire an accident caused by a faulty dryer plug. The fire spread quickly to the rest of the house. Richer said firefighters were on the scene within four minutes, by which time the house was engulfed in flames. According to Richer, the resident is staying with relatives. North Strabane and South Strabane fire departments also responded.
