Bentleyville man arrested on drug charges following traffic stop
Bentleyville police arrested a man Monday on more than 50 drug charges following a traffic stop.
Police charged Kenton Llammar Pinson, 32, of Bentleyville, Wednesday with felonies of prohibited possession of a firearm, carrying a firearm without a license, possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, and more than three dozen misdemeanors of possession of drug paraphernalia.
According to the criminal complaint, police pulled over Pinson’s vehicle on South Main Street at about 10:20 p.m. Monday for a suspended vehicle registration.
Charging documents state that police observed Pinson seemingly making movements toward the center console.
Police learned that Pinson had an active bench warrant for his arrest out of Allegheny County.
According to the complaint, officers obtained a warrant and searched the car the next day. Police found marijuana, suspected methamphetamines and suspected cocaine. Also found in the car were a loaded firearm, a loaded magazine, ammunition and a homemade silencer, court documents state.
Pinson was arraigned Friday afternoon before District Judge Joshua Kanalis, who sent him to the Washington County jail without bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 3 p.m. Oct. 28.
