Washington City Mission held a beam-signing and topping-off ceremony Thursday morning to celebrate a construction milestone for “Sally’s Sanctuary” women’s shelter being built in the city. The $7.1 million shelter that will offer housing for up to 50 women for overnight stays is about one-third of the way through construction.
