2000 Turkeys in full swing
As Thanksgiving approaches – Nov. 28 is a little over five weeks away – the 2000 Turkey campaign is in full swing, working to provide Thanksgiving dinners to Washington County families in need.
Thanks to the generous donations from Washington County residents, businesses, organizations and schools, the 2000 Turkeys tradition continues, and because of you, families who are struggling to make ends meet will be able to enjoy a holiday meal with their loved ones.
All of the money raised will be donated to families in need, in partnership with Food Helpers, Greater Pittsburgh Community Food Bank, and City Mission Boxes of Love.
Your donations matter. For four decades, 2000 Turkeys, co-sponsored by WJPA and the Observer-Reporter, has been able to put holiday dinners on the table of local families, and this year aims to serve about 14,200 food-insecure Washington County residents.
