One killed in Fallowfield Township crash
One person was killed and multiple others injured in a head-on collision Tuesday in Fallowfield Township.
According to Washington County Coroner Timothy Warco, the accident occurred at about 8:45 p.m. in the 600 block of Old 71. The front-seat passenger in a vehicle headed east was killed when a westbound vehicle crossed the centerline. The crash victim was not wearing a seat belt, according to the news release issued by the coroner’s office.
State police said the westbound vehicle failed to negotiate a curve in the road prior to the crash.
According to police, multiple people from both vehicles were transported to local hospitals by helicopter and ambulance.
The deceased has not been identified pending notification of next of kin.
