Open house, recovery resource fair planned in Washington
An open house and resource fair will be held Thursday to connect people seeking drug and alcohol recovery information.
The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Landmark Building at 75 E. Maiden St. in Washington.
There will be guest speakers, and a variety of recovery resource providers will be available during the open house. The event is being organized by Harmony Life Center, Serenity Farms Inc. and Southwestern Pennsylvania Human Services Care Center.
The Landmark Building houses SPHS Care Center Behavioral Health, SPHS Center of Excellence, SPHS STARRS Program, SPHS Assertive Community Treatment Team, Harmony Life Center Recovery Community Organization, Serenity Farms Inc., Genoa Pharmacy, SWPA Area Agency on Aging SCSEP Title V Office and the Pathstones program employing adults 55 and older.
Resource providers are setting up along East Maiden Street in front of the Landmark Building and using the Lemoyne House gardens next door. Food specials will be available throughout the event at nearby restaurants at Big Shot Bob’s, Vocelli Pizza and Pretzels Plus.
