Peters Township council approves demolition of condemned home
Peters Township council voted at their Monday meeting to have a condemned home demolished.
According to Township Manager Paul Lauer, the residents at 225 Center Church Road were not able to keep up with maintenance.
“There were individuals who lived there who had challenges and have not been able to maintain the house in a livable condition,” Lauer said.
The demolition is expected to cost about $12,000, and the township will put a lien on the property to secure payment.
