A North Strabane man died Wednesday night after a single-vehicle crash in Peters Township.

According to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner, James Manolakas, 93, crashed in the 200 block of Froebe Road at about 9:30 p.m.

He was transported to St. Clair Hospital, where he died at 10:25 p.m.

Peters Township police Chief Joseph Glover said the medical examiner reported that it appeared Manolakas suffered from a medical emergency.

Glover said a woman contacted 911 after coming upon Manolakas’ vehicle, which had crashed into a tree. It was not clear if he suffered any injuries as a result of the accident.

The medical examiner’s report did not include a specific cause and manner of death for Manolakas.
