Waynesburg man dies following domestic dispute
A Waynesburg man died Monday from injuries suffered during a domestic dispute last week, state police report.
State police said troopers were called at about 8:30 a.m. Friday to 200 Tollgate Run, Waynesburg, where John Richard Thralls, 65, was involved in a physical altercation with his partner, Amanda Bedillion, 37, of Waynesburg.
According to police, Bedillion got into a truck and backed out of the driveway. While the truck was pulling on to the road, Thralls is reported to have jumped on the step rails and shouted at Bedillion through the open window.
Thralls reached through the window and attempted to grab the steering wheel, police reported. Bedillion hit the brakes, throwing Thralls from the truck to the pavement, according to police. Thralls suffered a severe head injury and was unresponsive as Bedillion attempted to render aid, police said.
Thralls was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, where he died at 3:06 p.m. Monday, according to the Allegheny County Medical Examiner.
State police are investigating.
As of Tuesday afternoon, no charges had been filed in Thralls’ death.
