Animals killed in barn fire
Chickens and pigs were killed early Wednesday morning in an East Finley Township barn fire.
According to a Washington County 911 supervisor, the fire was reported shortly after 2 a.m. in the 100 block of Dunham Road.
The supervisor said the structure was a detached barn a fair distance from other buildings.
It was not immediately clear how many animals died in the fire. No humans were injured.
According to 911, fire departments from East Finley, West Finley, Donegal and South Franklin responded to the fire. The state police fire marshal is investigating.
