Investigation continues into fatal hit-and-run

State police continue to investigate as an 18-year-old suspect has emerged in a fatal hit-and-run accident in Robinson Township.
The accident occurred shortly after 3 p.m. Monday when an 18-year-old male from Riverview, Fla. struck a truck driver outside of his vehicle on the ramp from Route 22 to the Southern Beltway.
Police have not identified the driver, and he has not been charged with a crime.
Killed was 46-year-old Brian Everhart, a commercial truck driver from Russellville, Tenn. According to state police, Everhart was outside of his truck with the hood up at the time of the incident.
State police said that vehicle parts belonging to a Nissan were at the scene of the accident.
Investigators found a Nissan Altima with heavy damage to the passenger side and a spare front right tire. The driver allegedly admitted to hitting the tractor-trailer.
Pennsylvania State Police Troop T, which covers the Turnpike, is investigating.
