A FedEx truck delivering packages to a home in the 1500 block of Henderson Avenue in Chartiers Township careened off a private bridge Monday afternoon and ended up in a creek.

The driver was leaving the home when the vehicle crashed through a railing and plunged hood first into the Georges Run about 1 p.m.

Chartiers Township police and firefighters were called to the scene, along with a large tow truck to pull the delivery vehicle from the water.

The driver, who was not immediately identified, was not seriously injured.

Workers could be seen unloading packages from the vehicle and loading them onto another truck parked near the scene.
