Cecil Township held its 21st annual Toys for Tots donation drive Saturday at the township’s public works garage organized by the department’s road crew.

Mark Secreti, who is one of the public works crew members and has helped to organize the drive from the beginning, said they received enough toy donations to fill up a “truckload” for the Marines Corps Toys for Tots drive for children in Washington County.

“We love helping,” Secreti said of the public works crew’s efforts for the annual toy drive.

Derek Pivac of Cecil Township came with his wife, Jenah, and their children, 8-year-old Belle, and 5-year-old Felix, to place toys in boxes for the drive.

“It’s always nice to give back,” Derek Pivac said about the donations.

“They came for the doughnuts,” Jenah Pivac said with a laugh about their children.

The Cecil Township toy drive is one of the biggest in the county.
