Downtown Washington was merry and bright on Friday, as visitors packed Main Street for the annual Holiday Market and Christmas Parade.
There were plenty of activities, vendors, live entertainment, and food trucks – and photo opportunities with Santa and Mrs. Claus – before the parade kicked off at 7 p.m.
The weather wasn’t too frightful, with temperatures hovering in the low 20s as marching bands, dance troupes, and floats made their way down the parade route.
Festivities started at the Community Pavilion on Main Street, and included horse and carriage rides, train rides, crafts, and an estimated 40 business and food companies.
