Washington man charged in stalking case

Washington police charged a man Thursday after he was accused of stalking a woman and pointing a gun at her.

Kenneth Seybert, 66, of Washington, faces a felony charge of aggravated assault, as well as misdemeanors of simple assault, stalking and reckless endangerment.

According to the criminal complaint, at about 11:15 p.m. Wednesday, Seybert drove by the woman’s home in the 600 block of Penn Avenue and pointed a firearm with a green laser at her. The woman, who had recently ended a relationship with Seybert, notified police, and told them he had sent her threatening messages earlier in the day, court documents state.

The woman also reported that Seybert had been following her in public prior to Wednesday’s incident.

There is an active warrant for Seybert’s arrest.
