Interstate 70 lane restrictions scheduled for Monday

A portion of Interstate 70 in Rostraver Township, Westmoreland County, will be restricted to a single lane on Monday.

PennDOT announced Friday that I-70 East will be reduced to a single lane between the Smithton and Route 51 exits. The restriction will be in effect between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m.

The work is part of the Interstate 70 Project to widen and reconstruct I-70 and reconstruct the Route 51 interchange. The project will cost $120.6 million and be completed in October 2027.
