Waynesburg man charged in assault
A Waynesburg man is in jail after being accused of molesting a child.
Jason Hennen, 33, faces charges of aggravated indecent assault of a child under 16, corruption of minors and a misdemeanor count of indecent assault.
Police had received a child welfare report on May 21 alleging that Hennen had been increasingly “touchy and inappropriate” with the girl, according to a criminal complaint filed Thursday.
In a July 8 forensic interview, the girl described physical contact as well as verbal harassment over the preceding two months.
He is lodged in the Greene County jail on $100,000 bond. His preliminary hearing is scheduled for July 23.
