Ringgold High School to graduate 200
Ringgold High School commencement is set for 7 p.m. Monday, June 9 in the high school gymnasium to honor 200 graduating seniors.
Brandon Nguyen is the valedictorian and Kaylie Rabbitt is the salutatorian.
Nguyen is the son of Phuc and Huong Nguyen of Charleroi. He received a scholarship to attend the University of Pittsburgh to major in pre-law. Nguyen was the president of the Technology Students Association and Students Against Destructive Decisions, treasurer of the National Honor Society and secretary of the Interact Club. He also was captain of the swim team and a member of the golf and tennis teams.
Nguyen also received Peer Jury Merits, Westinghouse Science Honors, Student of the Month for February and Highest Honors.
Rabbitt is the daughter of Lindsay Rabbitt of Monongahela and Brian Rabbitt of Jefferson Hills. She received a number of scholarships to attend Carlow University to major in nursing. They are the College in High School Award, Trustee Scholarship and Nursing Scholarship. Rabbitt was the president of the Science Club, vice president of the Interact Club and the Student Council Grade Level representative. She also was the head of the executive committee for the Ringgold Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports Lighthouse Team, a member of the National Honor Society and captain of the swim team.
Rabbitt also received Peer Jury Merits, Westinghouse Science Honors, Student of the Month for November and Highest Honors.
