Fire damages Peters Township house undergoing renovation

An unoccupied house in Peters Township undergoing renovations was heavily damaged by fire early Friday morning. Fire Crews were called to 118 Brookdale Circle about 4:30 a.m. and found the house engulfed in flames.

An unoccupied house in Peters Township undergoing renovations was heavily damaged by fire early Friday morning.

Fire Crews were called to 118 Brookdale Circle about 4:30 a.m. and found the house engulfed in flames, a Washington County 911 dispatch supervisor said.

No one was living at the house, and no injuries were reported. Peters Township firefighters were at the scene for about two hours and assisted by departments from North Strabane and Upper St. Clair.

The state police fire marshal is investigating the cause of the blaze, which was not immediately released.
