CARROLL
Fleeing accident: Tacarra Washington, 36, of Duquesne, was charged Wednesday by Carroll Township police with accidents involving death or personal injury, failing to notify police of an accident and failure to stop and give information or render aid. According to the criminal complaint, at about 7:20 p.m. Feb. 9 police responded to a T-bone accident at the intersection of Donora Road and Second Street Extension. Charging documents state the accident occurred when Washington was driving on Second Street Extension and failed to stop at a stop sign. Washington is accused of fleeing the scene on foot. The other driver, who was not identified, was described by police as an elderly person who was entrapped. The driver was taken by ambulance to UPMC Mercy Hospital. Both vehicles were towed from the scene. Police interviewed Washington on Feb. 13, and she claimed to have come to a stop at the intersection. Court paperwork states she told police she fled because she had been drinking and did not want to get arrested. There is an active warrant for Washington’s arrest.

Assault alleged: Jasmine Henry, 31, of Washington, was charged Wednesday by Washington police with burglary, criminal trespassing, terroristic threats, simple assault and strangulation. According to the criminal complaint, at about 11:20 p.m. Tuesday police were called to an apartment in the 100 block of South College Street for a reported assault. Charging documents state that Henry forced her way into the apartment of Rosine Ingabire, grabbed her by the hair and choked her. Henry is also accused of threatening Ingabire’s life. Henry was arraigned Wednesday morning before District Judge Louis McQuillan, who sent her to the Washington County jail without bond.
