Two people were injured in a four-vehicle crash on Interstate 70 in Somerset Township that closed the highway for about an hour Friday morning.

Three passenger cars and a tanker truck were involved in the crash in the eastbound lanes of the interstate near the Dunningsville exit shortly before 6 a.m., a Washington County 911 dispatch supervisor said.

Two people were taken by ambulance to Washington Hospital for treatment. Their names and conditions were not immediately released.

The highway reopened to traffic around 7 a.m., the dispatcher said. State police are investigating the crash.
