Canonsburg man pleads guilty to federal child sexual exploitation charges
A Canonsburg man pleaded guilty Monday to federal charges accusing him of the sexual exploitation of minors.
Justin Darby, 37, appeared before U.S. District Judge Nicholas Ranjan at the federal courthouse in Pittsburgh and pleaded guilty to two counts for attempting to receive or distribute child sexual abuse material on multiple occasions in September and October 2021, along with another instance in February 2024.
Darby also acknowledged altering and destroying information on his cellphone to obstruct the investigation.
Darby was indicted last October, and he will be sentenced by Ranjan on Aug. 25.
