Alan Bradstock, a Desert Storm veteran and former FBI agent, announced Tuesday his candidacy for Congress in Pennsylvania’s 14th Congressional District.

Running as a Democrat, Bradstock said his campaign will focus on restoring character, competence and civility to government, creating an economy that works for everyone and ensuring that every community in western Pennsylvania has a voice in Washington.

“I’ve dedicated my adult life to serve my country, my community and to do what’s right,” said Bradstock, who is a Connellsville resident. “Now, I’m stepping forward to bring integrity, accountability and common sense back to Congress. It’s time we find common ground so we can solve problems, not create them.”

Bradstock said he brings a distinguished record of public service and private-sector experience to his campaign. After serving honorably in the U.S. Army as a helicopter pilot and deploying to Operation Desert Storm, he spent 20 years with the FBI and later as a contractor supporting the U.S. Intelligence Community. He also worked as a KPMG auditor and independent financial adviser, earning a reputation for professionalism and integrity.

He said his campaign will prioritize strengthening the working class economy, supporting veterans, protecting Social Security and Medicare, and defending the rights and freedoms of every Pennsylvanian.

“Washington has enough career politicians and political games. What we need are people who understand sacrifice, service, and hard work,” Bradstock said. “That’s what I bring to the table, and that’s what I’ll fight for every day.”

A graduate of Ringgold High School and Washington & Jefferson College, Bradstock was recently inducted into the W&J Athletics Hall of Fame, recognizing his outstanding achievements as a student-athlete and his continued contributions to the college community.

The campaign will kick off with a series of meet-and-greet events across the district in the coming weeks, offering voters a chance to meet Bradstock and hear his vision for Pennsylvania’s future. The 14th Congressional District includes all of Washington, Greene and Fayette counties, and portions of Westmoreland, Somerset and Indiana counties.
