Alzheimer’s Walk raises nearly $79,000
More than 200 people participated in the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s – Washington at Hollywood Casino at The Meadows Saturday, raising nearly $79,000 for the Alzheimer’s Association.
“The Alzheimer’s Association Greater Pennsylvania Chapter sincerely thanks the dedicated Walk participants, volunteers and sponsors who made the 2025 Walk to End Alzheimer’s a tremendous success,” said Natalie Boyanovsky, development manager. “The funds raised will help fuel disease research while also providing critical care and support to individuals and families affected by Alzheimer’s and other dementia.”
St. Clair Medical Group was the top fundraising team this year, raising more than $4,800. There were 221 participants and 43 teams in Saturday’s event. Stephanie Allison, WPXI-TV meteorologist, served as emcee.
More than 7 million Americans are living with Alzheimer’s disease – a leading cause of death in the United States. Additionally, more than 12 million family members and friends provide care to people living with Alzheimer’s and other dementias. In Pennsylvania, there are more than 282,000 people living with the disease and 465,000 caregivers.
