Monongahela man accused of assault

Monongahela police arrested a man Sunday morning after he allegedly stabbed another man.
Elijah Glenn Davis, 23, faces a felony aggravated assault charge and misdemeanors of simple assault and reckless endangerment.
According to the criminal complaint, at about 12:45 a.m. Sunday police were called to a home in the 400 block of Second Street.
Police found Daniel Helmantoler inside the residence with a small puncture wound to his left forearm. Helmantoler told investigators that Davis had stabbed him.
Davis was arraigned Sunday morning before District Judge Eric Porter, who sent him to the Washington County jail on $50,000 bond. A preliminary hearing is scheduled for 9:45 a.m. Oct. 27.
