Charleroi using Savvy Citizen for emergency alerts
Charleroi Borough is now using the mass notification system Savvy Citizen for direct, real-time communication with residents.
Savvy Citizen can be used for a number of things, including emergency alerts, updating citizens on events, helpful information, garbage delays, utility outages, community news and weather alerts.
Residents and neighbors of the borough can choose to receive notifications with push alerts on their smart phones, or browse the app for a full listing of notifications, alerts and events. The system also allows residents to sign up for text or email messages.
