Barn destroyed in Greene County fire

Livestock and farm equipment were lost when a barn fire caught fire in Greene County Friday morning.

According to Greene County Emergency Management Agency Director Rich Policz, crews were called at about 8:14 a.m. to 121 Muddy Hollow Road in Jackson Township.

According to Policz, the barn was a total loss. It was not clear what animals were inside the barn and how many were killed.

Center Township Fire Department responded to the fire. They were assisted by fire departments from Freeport, Richhill and Wayne townships.

Firefighters were on the scene until about 10:30 a.m. Additional details were not immediately available.
